신천지예수교회가 ‘하나님의 새 언약 계시록 예언과 성취 증거’ 세미나를 통해 지난 10월 18일부터 요한계시록 전장(1장~22장)의 예언과 이루어진 실상을 전 세계에 공개하면서 국내·외 목회자 및 신앙인들의 반응이 뜨겁다. 세미나에서 계4~5장을 설교했던 신천지 베드로지파 광주교회 이정우 강사는 인터뷰에서 신앙인들을 향한 진심과 이후 있어질 요한계시록의 궁금증 해소에 대한 기대감을 높였다.

 

Q. 말씀 세미나에서 신천지 신앙을 하게 된 계기를 말씀했는데, 기성교회 신앙을 하고 있던 입장에서 처음 들을 때 고민과 생각이 바뀌게 된 동기는?

 

A. 저 또한 신천지에 대한 안 좋은 인식을 가지고 있었습니다. 처음 이 말씀을 듣게 된 계기는 친구의 권유였지만, 사실은 개인적인 궁금증만 해소하고자 하는 가벼운 마음으로 말씀을 들었습니다. 기성교회에서 신앙할 당시 요한계시록 속의 ‘666표’가 너무 궁금했었지만 명확하게 알려주는 이가 없었습니다. 긴 시간을 방황하고 답을 찾지 못한 채로 있다가, 여러 차례 거절했던 친구의 권유에 마지막이라는 생각으로 신천지의 계시말씀을 듣게 되었는데, 놀랍게도 666표에 대해 알게 되었습니다. 육하원칙에 입각해 명확하게 증거되는 이 계시말씀은 성경적이었고 분명했기 때문에 인정할 수 밖에 없었습니다. 언제, 어디에서, 어떻게 이루어졌는지, 그 결과는 무엇인지를 증거받다 보니, 이 말씀은 계시록 성취때 그 현장에서 보고들은 증인의 증거가 아닐 수 없다는 생각이 들었습니다. 이때 이 말씀에 대한 확신이 생겼고 그 길로 신천지 신앙을 시작하게 되었습니다.

 

Q. 신천지가 창립 이후 계속 요한계시록에 대해 알려오고 있는데, 성경 66권 중 요한계시록이 유독 중요한 이유는 무엇인가? 

 

A. 이 계시록은 예수님의 계시입니다. 그래서 어떤 종교보다도 예수님을 믿는 우리 기독교인들이 이 계시록의 말씀을 알아야 합니다. 하지만 기록된 지 2000년이 지났어도, 22장에 불과한 이 작은 책 한 권에 대해 아는 사람이 단 한 사람도 없었습니다. 그러한 이 계시록의 예언이 오늘날 지금 이 지구촌 대한민국에서 이루어졌기에, 이루어진 실체를 알리고 있는 것입니다. 

 

하나님의 모든 역사는 결국 계시록 책 한 권에서 다 끝이 나게 됩니다. 하나님의 6천 년 역사의 목적과 우리가 소망하는 천국이 모두 계시록에서 이루어지게 됩니다. 하나님의 백성인 새 나라 새민족이 계시록에 출현하게 되고 그곳에 하나님과 예수님과 천국이 그곳에 함께한다고 분명히 말해주고 있습니다. 하지만 계시록 22장 18~19절에서는 이 계시록을 가감하면 천국에 가지 못한다고 하셨는데, 이 계시록 한 권을 제대로 깨닫지 못하고도 어떻게 천국에 갈 것이라 자신할 수 있겠습니까. 지금의 때를 살아가는 우리 신앙인들에게는 이 계시록의 말씀이 너무나 중요한 것입니다.

 

Q. 계시록의 말씀을 지난 8월부터 꾸준하게 전하고 있는데 현재 3개월 강의 해오면서 느낀 부분과 강의 준비 시 중점을 둔 부분은?

 

A. 하나님의 말씀을 대언하는 사명을 가지고 여러분들을 만나게 된 것에 막중한 책임감을 가지고 있습니다. 이 말씀을 전하게 된 것은 자의적인 생각이 아니라, 하나님과 예수님이 ‘보고 들은 것을 교회들에게 가서 전하라’고 하셨기 때문에 그대로 전하시는 신천지예수교 총회장님과 같은 마음으로 말씀을 전하고자 노력하고 있습니다. 계시록의 모든 예언이 이루어진 것을 직접 보고 들은 증인이신 총회장님의 증거 그대로를 전하기 위해, 저 또한 말씀을 새기는 일에 계속해서 힘쓰고 있습니다. 

 

요한계시록이 신앙인에게 중요한 만큼 성경책 중에 어려운 부분 또한 요한계시록입니다. 다만 한 시간 남짓 되는 시간 안에 말씀을 전하다 보니, 하나님의 6천년 긴 사연을 모두 다 전해드리지 못하는 아쉬움이 큰 것 같습니다. 말씀 세미나를 들어보시고 잘못된 것이나 어려운 것, 궁금한 것이 있다면 언제든지 연락주시길 바랍니다. 말씀 안에서 교류하며 함께 발전하는 모든 믿음의 가족들이 되기를 바라고 있습니다. 

 

Q. 10월 18일부터 진행된 요한계시록 말씀 세미나 유튜브 조회수가 150만이 넘는 만큼 많은 사람들이 관심을 가지고 시청하고 있습니다. 이에 혹 주변에 말씀을 들은 분들의 반응들은 좀 어떤지?

 

A. 현재 지구촌 곳곳에서 이 말씀을 인정하고 MOU를 맺자는 좋은 소식이 들려오고 있습니다. 특히 해외 목회자분들은 적극적으로 나서서 말씀을 배우고 있는 상황입니다. 세미나를 통해 목회자들이 성경 지식으로 더욱 무장해야겠다는 사명감을 느낀다는 분들이 많습니다. 목회자로서 성도들을 올바른 길로 인도할 수 있도록, 계시록 1장에서부터 22장까지의 모든 말씀을 빠짐없이 듣겠다고 이야기하고 계십니다. 국내에서도 세미나를 통해 그간의 묵은 오해를 풀었다고 말씀해주시는 목회자분들도 계십니다. 그 무엇보다 성경을 기준으로 말씀을 전해주는 것이 명쾌했다는 반응이 많습니다. 또 말씀 안에서 소통할 수 있는 계기를 만든 것에 대해 감사함을 전하는 분도 계셨습니다. 

 

Q. 요한계시록 세미나를 기성교회의 목회자와 신앙인들 대상으로 하고 있는데 이들에게 하고 싶은 말씀은?

 

A. 지금의 때는 대환난이라고 할 수 있는 어려운 때인 것 같습니다. 이 어려운 때일수록 우리 신앙인들이 하나 되어야 한다고 생각합니다. 먼저는 하나님과 하나 되어야 하겠습니다. 그러기 위해서는 예수님의 피로 죄를 씻어 구원받는 자가 되어야 하는데, 이 피는 오늘날 예수님의 계시말씀이 되겠습니다. 이 계시말씀과 하나된 자만이 곧 하나님과 함께하는 자가 되는 것이기에, 이 말씀 하나하나를 의미 있게 들어주시고 확인해주시기를 부탁드립니다. 특히나 목회자분들은 성도들을 교육하는 사명을 지닌 만큼, 이 말씀을 더 여러번 확인해주시기를 부탁드립니다.

 

또한 하나님을 믿고, 같은 천국을 소망하는 신앙인으로서 이 말씀 안에서 우리가 온전히 하나 되기를 소망합니다. 이 계시말씀을 듣고 인정이 되면, 주저 말고 하나 되는 일에 동참해주셨으면 좋겠습니다. 우리 모두 함께 천국에서 하나님 모시고 영원히 사는 그날을 소망하겠습니다. 위아원!

 

Q. 끝으로 요한계시록 세미나를 비대면 온라인으로 12월까지 진행하게 됩니다. 한 말씀 부탁드립니다.

 

A. 아무래도 직접 얼굴을 마주하고 말씀을 나누지 못한 아쉬움이 큰 것 같습니다. 하지만 이 비대면 온라인 문화를 통해 전 세계 각국의 믿음의 가족들이 함께 모일 수 있게 되었고, 각자의 자리에서 좀 더 편안하게 말씀을 접할 수 있다는 것이 또 감사한 일이 된 것 같습니다. 이제 마음만 먹으면 언제 어디서나 쉽게 말씀을 들을 수 있는 환경이 마련된 만큼, 앞으로 두 달 동안 이어질 요한계시록 세미나에 꼭 한번 참석해주시기를 바라겠습니다. 감사합니다.

Q. At the Word Seminar, you talked about the reason you became a believer in Shincheonji. What motivated you to change your worries and thoughts when you first heard about it as a member of an established church?

 

A. I also had a bad perception of Shincheonji. The reason I first heard this sermon was at the suggestion of a friend, but in fact, I listened to the sermon with a light heart to resolve personal questions only. When I believed in the established church, I was very curious about the ‘666 mark’ in the book of Revelation, but no one could clearly tell me. After wandering for a long time and not finding an answer, I heard the revelation from Shincheonji, thinking that it was the last time at the invitation of a friend who had rejected it several times. This revelation, which is clearly evidenced based on the six-fourth principle, had to be acknowledged because it was biblical and clear. When, where, and how it was accomplished, and what the results were, I was told that these words were the evidence of the witnesses that were reported in the field at the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation. At this time, I became convinced of these words and started to believe in Shincheonji through that path.

 

Q. Shincheonji has been telling about the book of Revelation since its founding. Why is the book of Revelation especially important among the 66 books of the Bible?

 

A. This book of Revelation is a revelation of Jesus. Therefore, we Christians who believe in Jesus more than any other religion should know the words of this book of Revelation. But even after 2,000 years of writing, no one knew about this little book of 22 chapters. Since the prophecy of this book of Revelation has been fulfilled in this global village of Korea today, it is announcing the reality that has been fulfilled.

 

All of God's work will eventually come to an end in one book of Revelation. The purpose of God's 6,000 years of work and the heaven we hope for will all come true in the Book of Revelation. It clearly states that God's people, a new nation, and a new nation will appear in the Book of Revelation, where God, Jesus, and the kingdom of heaven are together. However, in Revelation 22:18-19, it is said that if you add or subtract from this book, you will not go to heaven. The words of Revelation are very important to us believers who are living in the present time.

 

Q. You have been continuously preaching the words of Revelation since last August. What did you feel during the three months of teaching and what did you focus on while preparing for the lecture?

 

A. I have a great responsibility to meet you all with a mission to represent the Word of God. It is not an arbitrary thought that I came to share this message, but because God and Jesus said, “Go and tell the churches what you have seen and heard.” In order to deliver the testimony of the President, who is a witness who has seen and heard all the prophecies of Revelation come true, I also continue to work hard to engrave the Word.

 

As the book of Revelation is important to believers, the most difficult part of the Bible is also the book of Revelation. However, since I am preaching the Word in less than an hour, it seems to be a great regret that I cannot convey the whole story of God for 6,000 years. A. Currently, there are good news from all over the world that these words are acknowledged and an MOU is signed. In particular, overseas pastors are actively learning the Word. There are many people who feel a sense of mission that pastors need to be more armed with Bible knowledge through the seminar. As a pastor, he is saying that he will listen to every word from Revelation 1 to 22 so that he can lead the saints on the right path. There are even pastors in Korea who say that they have solved old misunderstandings through seminars. Most of all, there are many responses that it was clear that the word was preached based on the Bible. Also, there were people who expressed their gratitude for creating an opportunity to communicate in the Word.

 

Q. The Revelation seminar is for pastors and believers of established churches. What would you like to say to them?

 

A. The present time seems to be a difficult time that can be called the Great Tribulation. In these difficult times, I think that we believers should become one. First, we must become one with God. In order to do that, one must be saved by washing away sins with the blood of Jesus, and this blood will be the revelation of Jesus today. Only those who become one with these revelations will become one with God, so I ask you to listen to each of these words meaningfully and confirm them. In particular, pastors have a mission to educate the members, so I ask you to check these words more times.

 

Also, as believers who believe in God and hope for the same heaven, I hope that we will become one in this word. If you hear this revelation and are acknowledged, I hope you do not hesitate to join us in becoming one. I hope for the day that we can all live together forever with God in heaven. We are one!

 

Q. Lastly, if the Revelation seminar is not face-to-face, it will be held online until December. One word please.

 

A. It seems that it is very regrettable that we were not able to meet face-to-face and talk to each other. However, through this non-face-to-face online culture, families of faith from all over the world can gather together, and it seems that it is also grateful to be able to access the Word more comfortably at their respective seats.
